The ProDAWQ Core 2 Duo / Quad system is a workstation designed for the needs of any audio professional. It is built to meet all our requirements - low noise, powerful, reliable, with an attractive design and space inside for future modifications.

The system can be mounted in two ways. In a rack-mountable 19" ProRaQ case, lined inside with layers of absorbent and insulating material from Nexus Damptek, or in the Nexus Breeze case. This has absorbent material incorporated into the walls of its case reducing audio energy and minimizing the amount of noise escaping, making it one of the quietest cases on the market. The power supply Nexus 4090 creates a sound of only 16bDA while at rest, and supplies up to 400W of power.

The Intel Core 2 Cuo / Quad has more power than its ancestor, which was based on the Pentium 4 architecture, that has after 7 years on the market hit a ceiling in terms of clock speed and energy consumption. The New Intel Core Duo has more and better Arithmetrical Logic Units that make it unbeatable when it comes to the digital signal processing of audio. While the Intel Core 2 Duo is a dual core processor with 2 x 2 MB of cache, the Intel Core 2 Quad is a Quad core processor with 2 x 4 MB of cache.

Our renovated workstation ProDAWQ Core 2 Duo includes the new generation of PCI-Express boards with support for the new DDR2 memory at 667 MHz, and MGA 775 socket. The processor is Intel Core 2 Duo (1.83 GHz Dual Core) with a 1066Hz bus and a 4 MB (2x2 MB) cache. The memory works in pairs (128 bits), so it has two DDR2 modules of 512MB at 667MHz from Kingston. The motherboard includes six USB 2 ports, two FireWire 400 ports (IEEE 1394a), native support for ATA 100 hard disks, Serial ATA II (3 gbps), RAID 0/1/0+1/5 and a 1 GigaBit ethernet controller. The video card has outputs for two monitors (Dual VGA/DVI-I) and the hard disk is a 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm, with 8MB cache, S-ATA II and special bearings that makes it ultra-quiet.
