The ProDualQ Quad system has been designed to be the most powerful Audio workstation on the market. It has two 64 bit Quad Core processors, which provides the eight times the horsepower of a single processor system.

To this we add the possibility to work with four screens via two video cards, PCI-X and PCI-Express Ports, a RAID Serial ATA hard disk system, FireWire and an ultra-silent design.

Each of the Intel Xeon 5300 series processor houses four cores, with 2x4 MB cache. Based in the new Core technology from Intel, they have a front side bus of 1.333 MHz, and support in a flexible way the 64 bits applications and operative systems. The ProDualQ Octa Core uses two processors with velocities untill 2.66 GHz. It supports up to 16 GigaBytes of DDR2 667 Fully Buffered memory and has plenty of expansion possibilities possible - RAID 0/1/10/5, independent PCI and PCI-E busses, 2 PCI-E 16x slots, etc.

The ProRaQ, a rack mountable 19" case (4 units high) is completely lined inside with layers of Nexus Damptek for absorbing sounds and insulating against leakage. The two processors are cooled by a Nexus silent 12 cm Fan that generate a miniscule level of sound. The silent power supply, a Nexus NX-8060 offers 600W of power and the hard disks are mounted with Nexus DiskTwin components that reduce vibrations and dissipate heat better. The RAID 0 set up can transfer data at up to 110 MegaBytes a second, allowing 128 tracks at 192 KHz / 24 bits. This all means that it is also possible to work with high quality uncompressed video.

One of the great advantages of these dual systems is the possibility of achieving only 1.5 ms of latency, even when the CPU is loaded to 80%, without any interruptions in the audio nor in the screen refreshes.
